Leaking oil only when driving or after. Changed oil a month back. Leaks onto engine and burns off white smoke. Large puddle under vehicle, stops leaking when un-driving.

Hello,

I have the same engine in my Mustang, and it looks to me from the video that you sent along, thank you, that from wear the oil is located down in the valley of the engine and the fact that you said you are burning white smoke(Usually means coolant) that you might have a blown head gasket. If you were leaking from the valve cover the intake manifold would block it from going into the valley and you would be having misfire issues as it leaked into the spark plug holes. I have included a few links for you to go to down below.

Please go through these guides and get back to us with what you find out.

Thanks,
Alex

Hey IVIO313,

Have you confirmed it is engine oil?

Is the engine oil level dropping?

If not check all other under hood fluid levels and report on if they are low.

You will need to inspect the leak from underneath, from the pictures i cannot tell where the leak may be coming from.

Please provide more pictures/video.

You may need to raise the vehicle, guide below:

Hello thanks for using 2CarPros.

pictures are not that clear to detect oil leak location, but from video it seems leak from valve cover. The best way to clean the old oils use leak detector spray apply at the components like valve cover, oil pressure sensor and oil dip stick fig1 and fig2, also check underneath for oil filter leak fig 3.
check our guide for oil leak:

Send us feed back what happens with you.
thank you.

Hi thanks you for the information. I believe it is a head gasket blown. Do you think any off these products would help?

Hello again,

If you are going to go with a "stop leak" product, might I suggest that you go with Blue Devil. It is a little bit more expensive than others on the market, but I have heard of and seen it work on other vehicles before. It should be available at any of your local parts houses. If you would like to change the head gasket, we have step by step instructions that we can go ahead to give you. Please let us know what direction you are leaning to and we can go from there.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello again,

I would use the first one and might I suggest that you follow the directions on the bottle to a "T". Please get back to us with the results are. We are curious to see how it turns out.

Thanks,
Alex
