Hello, I have a 98 civic automatic trans with 90000 miles. I just finished replacing the radiator, upper hose, thermostat and radiator cap. I bled the system but now the temp gets up to 3/4 on the gage when idling and it comes down to a 1/4 when I'm driving. I think I'm hearing noise from where the water pump is at. The question is do I have to change the water pump or do I check something else. P.S. The reservoir tank is over filling.

Did you bleed the system with the heater on? If not you may have air trapped in the system still, re bleed to tem with the heater on and if you can get the front of the car a little higher than the rear, this will help air bleed out.

Yes I did for about 40 min, I had the car raised with a jack and the heater to the max. The fans did turn on after a while, so I left it there until the fans turned on a few more times. P.S. This happens after constantly driving, when I turn on the car I the morning it doesn't heat up, the temp stay normal.

I think it would be a good idea at this time to eliminate head problems, you can get a head check done, this is a simple and quick chemical test to see if there is an C0 in the cooling system, if so this can pressurise the cooling system over and above normal pressures and cause erratic surge in the header tank.
