1997 Ford Falcon? Ummmmmmm. Ford stopped making Falcons in 1967. ! If you have almost 300-thou on a 250 cubic inch, 6 banger.I'd be willing to guess that the motor is worn out ! Start with a compression test to see if the motor needs a complete rebuild.
