Is it a distributor ignition or coil pack engine?

If you have spark you should have injection pulse, but just check that anyway, and can you hear the fuel pump cycle? It should run for a few sec then shut off when you turn the key to on, check that next.

You will have to check fuel rail pressure, if you have rail pressure and injection pulse, you will have fuel into the engine, we must establish fuel rail pressure and confirm injection pulse.
