Do you have a picture you can post? There is all kinds of different clamps some take a special tool to remove even.

I do not think that my phone is allowing me to send one for some reason, but it is round with a plastic tab on opposite sides I pushed them in but it did not come off. It looks like a quick release, but is it twist or something.

All controls work fine, heater hoses to heater core in line is warm, out line is cold. Is the core plugged? Or do I have a bigger problem? How are the heater core in and out hoses disconnected from the core so I can flush the core if that is the problem?

If one hose is cold, chances are the core is plugged. Remove the hoses (clamped on) and using a garden hose to see if you can force water through the core in both directions.

It looks like you must remove the inner fender well to access the heater hoses.

Well, unlike my jimmy. I see 2 hose that come from firewall. Then they have 3 way tees with both ends going back into firewall. Presumbly, to evaporator. The parts of tee's for both line go all the way down to underbody supposing going to back of car. Is there a way can tell if engine is running one hot or cold. Etc?

P.S this is 1997 ford expedition 5.4L 2wd. Both heater hose look like pic attached to this response

I would install the flush kit into the in going heater hose closest to the engine
