I have a 4 cylinder 8 plug manuel 1996 ford ranger that will start of trouble free, first thing in the morning, in any weather. However, when I take of, and come to a stop and I am idle for about a minute it will start to shake like it wants to stall but it will stay on. Once I turn it off it will require that I press the gas pedal about 3/4 of the way down and crank it for about 15 seconds before it will start. In weather below 50 degree the problem is worse. I have to leave it sittin for over 4 hours so it can start with out hesitation. I have cleaned the mass air flow sensor and the idle air control. Any ideas what else I can do?

Have you checked the coolant temp sensor yet? Also have you checked for codes in the computer yet?
