Ok what else could cause me to burn fuel is there anything else other than a malfunctioning sending unit?
April, 12, 2012 AT 3:19 AM
So how are you figuring out your gas mileage? Also the sending unit isnt going to effect gas mileage.

I cnt really tell if I got gas or not cuz when I put gas in the fuel gauge seems like it doesnt go to the same level it usually would with the same amount of money. And it just seems like im burnin gas cuz it gets to E kinda fast even after puttin gas in it

Heres how you figure gas mileage fill the car up till the pump turns off. Then reset your trip odometer drive the car atleast 200 miles then fill the car back up till the pump turns off. Then divide the miles driven on the trip odometer by the gallons of gas it took to refill the tank. That will tell you overall gas mileage not using how much it cost to fill the tank the price of gas is up and down. Also you cant use a gas gauge working ir not to figure it out ethier.

Oo ok I wanted to know something else too what would be the tell tell signs of an ecm on my car beginning to malfunction?
April, 13, 2012 AT 1:48 AM
Thats a tough question because all ecms dont always fail in the same way. What I do is rule everything else out and suspect the ecm last.
