1992 Lexus LS 400 not starting

Hi their I was wondering if you can help me with my car it's been acting weird lately I bought a brand new battery to the car and it worked I used for three days and on the fourth day it was dead only the dashboard turned on and then faded and nothing turned on and made a tick sound sometimes it makes it sometimes it doesn't and I tried with jump cables and didn't work and what's wrong with it

You had a bad connection on one of the jumper cable clamps or you didn't wait long enough. When a battery is that far run down, it will take about 15 minutes on a battery charger before the acid becomes conductive and the battery STARTS to take a charge. Use a battery charger to charge the battery at a slow rate for an hour, then have the car's charging system tested.
