1991 Honda Accord speedometer and sport light

My 91 Honda Accord has a sport feature on the transmission, the sport light blinks on and off and the speedometer gauge does not register the speed of vehicle. The transmission shifts gears ok. I'm suspecting a problem with the transmission module. Please advise, thank you.

The vehicle speed sensor is bad resulting in the speedometer working intermittently and erratic shifting.

Sounds like a bad speed sensor
