How do I know if my jeep jumped time?

Put the engine no.1 piston on its compresion stroke/TDC align the crank pulley to TDC/0 deg markings -remove the distributor cap-the rotor should be pointing directly under the no.1 cap tower not on another cap tower 6degs tolerance either side of no.1
