The fuel injectors were replaced about a year ago, new battery, new alternator. When I go start it, it will start up but then dies right away, and I will be able to start it again but I need to keep the rpms at a high in order for it to stay running until I can start driving. Once i'm in drive or overdrive the car wont die, just when I start it up, switching to reverse, unless I keep my foot on the gas.

Check all of your vacuum hoses for leaks.

Good morning,

A common issue is the idle air control motor on the throttle body.

I attached the procedure for you to replace the valve. This was a very common failure back in the day for this exact issue.
