1989 Chevy Celebrity Stalls when warm

This is the true mileage was owned by old lady who did not drive. We have replaced many things, belts, brake lines and so on. Now when it has been driven a while and the weather is warm it stalls when stopping, it will restart but once putting in gear it will stall again this goes on many times. But if it will not stall if it is put in reverse? What do you think?

What if you give it some gas before dropping it in gear?

Have you replaced the spark plugs and plug wires? Has the fuel filter been changed and old fuel drained out, and new fuel and cleaning additives used? Whats the fuel pressure?

Tranny may need a rebuild, when a vehicle isnt drove for a long time its a good way to ruin a tranny.
