I have a 1988 F150 5.8 V8. The previous owner had the truck parked for years and the fuel injectors keep getting clogged. The fuel filter is stopping rust from the fuel tank but the injectors keep becoming clogged and have to be removed and cleaned. The fuel filter has been changed three times so far.
After a few hundred miles of driving the injectors are clogged again. I know I need to change the fuel tank, but any other suggestions.

Why are the injectors getting clogged, the fuel filter should be stopping the dirt. The previous owner removed the rear tank and the lines are bent over.
