Where does the spacer go on my 1988 chevrolet 1500. I know it goes on the bracket that holds the altinator and ac but not exactly sure where.

I looked for a picture on that, I couldn't find one. If you bolt up the bracket without the spacer, does it look ok? Will the accessories pulleys line up for the belt/s? I'd have to look at it.

If you are talking about the spacer for the alternator, it should go behind the alternator on the lower bolt. But as jdl says, check the alignment on the belt.
