Everything was fine I was driving and I got off the freeway and out of nowhere my car shut off.
I don't have a key fob never did. I have replaced starter, fuel pump, and so many things but nothing seems to help. I checked the power at the coil connection and have no power. The security light seems normal. It blinks until the key in on position and then stops. Car cranks but no start. Computer has no visible damages and i'm not sure where to go from here. Federal emissions Nissan 3000. Toya kn ed and reconstructed title. Runs great. Suddenly wont start. Help.

Let's start with a couple clarifying questions. When the theft light stops blinking does it turn off when the key is in the on position or does it stay on solid?

If you have no power to the coils then we need to find why. When you checked power which wire did you check for power? You have 3 wires on each coil so where did you check and were you cranking the engine when you were checking it?

Below is a wiring diagram that will show the wiring that we are looking at and where they come from. This could be an issue with the ECCS relay if the red wire is what you are checking for power. Or an issue with Fuse 58 as this is what powers the relay and then the coils.

Please look through this material and let us know what you find with this and we can go from there. Thanks

Security light blinks as usual and turns off when in on position.
To test ignition coil connection power I used multimeter in volt settings and connected +/- to paperclips extending from left/right sides of connecting clip and had someone crank engine while I observed test meter. No voltage indicated.

Haven't seen second reply. So I checked with multimeter by inserting paperclips to left/right terminals and cranking engine while observing meter. I used the connector for the coil closest t ok passenger side and then also the middle of the top or I believe the left side. In 2000 Maxima that is the row that isn't under the plastic valve cover. I also tried with outside and inside terminals rather then right/left outside terminals. No voltage on meter. Fuse 58 is good.

So if you are connected to 1 and 3, that appears to be the power and ground that runs through the condenser. The fact that you have.01 volts we can assume the ground is okay. Normally when you have no ground you get 0 volts but we should check this.

We need to check the ground side first. Connect your red meter lead to battery positive and then the black lead to the ground on the coil and your meter should read battery voltage.

If not, then you have a ground issue.

If it does then it appears your ECM is not sending voltage and if the theft light is off it should be and it is the likely issue.
