I have a 2000 Maxima w 190k miles that will not start. It was running fine - then would not start about an hour later. The starter/battery is fine, but it acts like it is not getting any fuel (no sound of combustion at all) It has had "Service Engine Soon" light on for about 6 months. I don't think it is related (according to manual this light applies to emission issues). Does this have a timing belt or chain - didn't see anything in manual about such? Any ideas? Thanks

You need to have the computer scanned for codes. Your computer does a LOT more than just emission. There are so many sensors in that car that, if faulty, will cause the car to no start situation.

You have timing chain.
