Q: Do I need to sign up to ask a question?
A: Yes, we need everyone that wants to ask a question to sign up with a valid email address so we can contact you as soon as we have an answer to your question. We don’t allow anonymous questions.
Q: How long does it take to get an answer to my question?
A: It is our policy to answer all donation questions within 24 hours and provide any follow up that is necessary to complete the advice. We answer all of the free questions as soon as possible.
Q: How will I get notified that there is an answer to my question?
A: Every member is notified at the email address you signed up with as soon as a reply has been made. There will be a link to your question inside the email.
Q: Where can I find my question and answer?
A: Log into the site and click your member name to access your profile page where you will have access to all your questions and answers and be able to edit your profile.
Q: How do I follow up with my expert’s answer?
A: Once you are logged in you will be able to see the Add a Reply box below the last comment on your question. Our expert will be available for you to ask follow up questions if you have them. The more information we have to work with the better.
Q: How do I request a refund or delete my account?
A: All refunds and account management requests are processed through email@example.com Please provide full name, donation amount, date, member name and email address and reason for your request. We do our best to help and want to make sure everyone is 100% satisfied with our service or we will refund the donation.
Q: I can’t seem to be able to log in? I know my member name and it still won’t let me in?
A: We now login using the email address you originally signed up with. If you still can’t access your account, use the password reset feature, by requesting a new password from the login screen. Enter your email address and hit submit.
Q: I can’t seem to figure out the Captcha screen? Those images are so hard to read?
A: If the characters are too difficult to figure out, you can refresh the Captcha challenge question a few times to get an easier challenge to type in. We need the Captcha service to minimize the spam bots that often attack free sites like ours.
Q: Is this site FREE?
A: We are most certainly free and have been since 1999. It is always free to ask a question. We have over 600,000 members and we have answered over 600,000 questions that you can search for free without having to sign up at all. We do have priority service available if you choose to donate a small sum to expedite our expert’s response.
Q: Do you sell auto parts?
A: At this time we do not sell auto parts. We do have some sponsors that offer them.
We take great pride in providing the best service and information possible to aid in our car repair and service needs. We offer a donation option if you are able. This helps with the expenses associated with operating a website, but it is not expected.
