I've had to fill my water up a few times over the last few weeks but there is now water on the road to show a leak. I had my car running and no bubbles come in the water. So I am not sure what is wrong with it. I did 180 miles then had to fill up as it was just below halfway.

Hello thanks for using 2CarPros.

is the engine overheating?if not first you must pressurize the coolant system to check for leak if no leak is found check the coolant reservoir cap if its good, then you might have internal leak which caused by head gasket.
if head gaskets leak it can mix the water with the engine oil, remove oil cap check if oil color is gray which mean water mixed with oil.it might be head gasket passing water into the cylinder and burns, you can see a white smoke from the exhaust.
