My car has been sort of stuttering while driving down highway for a few weeks, just every now and then. Then on Friday it did it a lot. Coming home it actually cut off during a stutter. I get it to side of highway and put in park. It cranks back no problem. But it did it two more times in twenty miles. What is causing this? I do not know if this has anything to do with it but once in a while upon cranking a vintage smell comes out the vents until I drive a little ways then stops.

Hi Lynn,

If you decide you would like to conduct the scan yourself here is a link to an article that features written step by step instructions and pictures explaining how to do the scan yourself, also I have included a link to our YouTube channel with a how to video on code scanning. Most scanners are inexpensive to purchase, you can purchase one online from sites like Amazon.com

Thank you for visiting 2CarPros.com.

Kindest regards,
