I have very little information on this one.

You are paying a lot of money to not have these problems.

Take the car back to the dealer and explain that to them. Tell them if they can't fix it then kindly give you a new one.

My daughter's vehicle listed above wont start. When I turn the key, I get a spinning noise. I have put in a new battery, then a friend put on a new crankshaft, we have checked that its getting fuel, checked the camshaft, we even took the front clip off and took out the radiator and replaced the starter, which was a bitch. Still nothing but a spinning noise. Please, I need help, my daughter and granddaughter have been sleeping on my floor the past month while I've been trying to do what I can to fix her car, I'm at a total loss, thank you Tammy.

Also, the alternator was replaced about 4 months ago. I'm not sure if this matters, but when the friend put the crankshaft on, they were suppose to use a certain ford tool to get top dead center, I don't think he did that. And the instructions had gotten thrown away. Not sure if that could mean anything or not.

I think this sounds like a loss of compression. Normally when you say it is just spinning that is the starter but if it sounds like it is spinning faster and not actually cranking then this is due to the fact that there is no resistance from the compression of the air/fuel.

If you can get a recording of what it sounds like when you are cranking the engine that will help identify this.

I have a no crank/no start problem with my vehicle. I have tried everything and checked everything but I still cannot seem to find the problem. Maybe you can point me in the right direction.

Hello,

It sounds like the starter has gone bad in the car.

Here is a guide that will help you confirm the problem:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/car-engine-will-not-crank-over

and

Please run some tests and get back to us we are interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken

Electrical problem
2010 Ford Escape 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 500 km miles

We have a new 2010 Ford escape. Two weeks ago it failed to start. The indicator on the battery was red. Dealer said it was a bad battery and electronics diagnostic test showed no other problems. Two days later the truck wouldn't start. Dealer now said the alternator had failed. Took almost a week to get new alternator in. Dealer said electronics diagnostic test showed no other problems. One day later truck wouldn't start. Dealer said bad ground at the starter was the problem. Is it possible that the bad ground caused the battery and alternator to fail? Is it possible that the bad ground could have affected other electronic components (computers etc.) Also? We haven't picked up the truck yet-my wife doesn't want to drive it any more, so we haven't any idea whether or not it is actually fixed.

Bad grounds can cause many parts failures.I doubt the battery was bad, probably could have been charged back up if it wasnt even a year old. Did they actually test the charging system when they had it the first time? Or did they scan the computer for codes? You arent far enough to be a lemon yet, you may as well keep driving it unless you can get them to trade you off on another since it has had so many issues already. Keep ALL documentation of the problems, just for future reference
