Where is the noise coming from?

A bearing inside the distributor is known to fail quite commonly and that ould be the cause if the noise is from there.

Get a rubber hose and place it near to where it is coming from to locate the exact source. Of course you need to place one end to one of your ear. Lol

Hello Khlow, I am having this same issue on my 2003 Honda Accord. It seems to drive and shift ok when "cold" but as soon as it gets hot enough or I drive for about 20 mins, it stops engaging. Even when driving it seems like it just pops out of gear and I can just hear the engine roaring, but no movement. Could this be the same issue?

and

Please run down these guides and report back.

It sounds like one of the CV axles is not in all the way. Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can hear the noise? That would be great. You can upload it here with your response. That way I can hear the problem.
