1999 Ford Contour 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I was woundering if a 99 ford contour engine would fit in a 02 ford escort?
they both are 4 cyl and 2.0 L engines
and if this is posible how much $ would you think it would cost.

We only recommend exact part replacement because there are so many variations from year to year and model to model. In general, the basic engine will most likely be the same, but god only knows how many differences there may be with sensors, brackets, injection / computer operation.
