1997 Ford Contour Transmission slipping--dropping in &

Transmission ok while cold. After about 10-12 miles starts jumping in and out of gear. Turning off OD helps some, but it will still go in and out, sometime "slamming" back in gear. Do to age and mileage, I feel repacement not practical. Don't know if there is a fixable cure.

Sounds like you have a pressure leakage when trans get hot (seals expand). It will only get worse as time goes on i'm afraid your best option is a rebuild or replacement
