Hi,

Since the code is related to the turbo, I would take it back to the people that repaired it. Chances are something simple has happened.

Let me know.

Let's hope they don't give us grief. It's the same garage that deals with the whole motor. They send the piece off to have the turbo reconditioned. (I have no idea what I am talking about here! I don't even know if these words exist in English.
Apparently they have spoken to the turbo garage so we are awaiting their reply which could be anytime as it's August here In Canary Islands. Holiday and festivals and fiestas.

Hi,

I hope they cover their mistake. Also, your English is excellent, so don't think what you say is wrong.

Keep me updated on how things turn out for you.

Take care and enjoy the festivals.

Hiya,

Our car has still not been fixed 5 months later. Turbo are saying that it is not their problem as it runs okay even though the diagnostic problems shows up with that number d2263.
They say that there is a sensor problem that does not allow the turbo to charge so it is an electrical fault. Our mechanic says no.
It's an impossible situation and no one wants to take responsibility.

Hi,

Do you mean a P2263? That indicates there is a performance issue with the turbo boost system. It can be related to a sensor, but that wasn't the issue before when you had the work done on the turbo.

The code is set when exhaust pressure falls below or exceeds that predetermined range.

This can be a turbo issue, an engine vacuum leak, a faulty wastegate, and so on. As far as sensors, the boost pressure sensor, exhaust back pressure sensor, or an injection pressure control sensor can cause the code. Are they mentioning any of those sensors? Have the sensors been inspected?

Morning,

Thanks for your constant help. The code that shows up is Dtc2263. It is supposed to be a turbo problem but the turbo garage are claiming that it is an electrical problem that prevents the turbo from running. Our mechanic checked the sensors already. We don't know who is responsible and what the problem really is, as the original problem was the turbo and Culata and they then made me find and purchase a need engine for the car and it still doesn't work. Our mechanic says the engine is working fine. Great! The car doesn't run? We have paid out more than 6000euros since 2019!

Hi,

If the sensors are all good, then there is likely an issue with the turbo itself. Since the two different locations are placing blame on different issues, you may need to have a third party inspect it to see if they say the same as one of the other two is saying.

I wish I had specifics on this vehicle for you, but it isn't included with my manuals because of location.

Let me know what I can do to help.

Hiya,

How are you?
After 6 months, we finally got our vehicle listed above Coupe Cabrio back from the mechanics. It was the turbo that was failing in the end.
The car is running well now. We have to sort the boot out as my husband closed it and I think the shopping bag was stuck. It now shows up as the roof is not closed and it was hard to get the windows to completely close when we got home.
If it's not one thing it's another.

Hi,

Thanks for the update. I had a feeling the turbo was where the issue was coming from. Wasn't it rebuilt not long before?

Yes, we had it done but they won't take responsibility. At least we have our car. Now we have to sort out the boot.

Hi,

I agree with you. As long as it is running properly, I would be happy. LOL

As far as the boot, although we don't have the specifics for this vehicle, someone would be happy to help. If you want, start a new thread specific to the issues you are experiencing. Here is the link to start a new thread:

Regardless, I'm happy to hear it's fixed for you. Please feel free to come back anytime in the future if you have questions. You are always welcome here.

Take care,

Joe

I thought our car was okay and my husband came home today and told me that it has lost three liters of water in a week.
It never stops. The mechanic must not have put the engine back together properly.

Does he notice any leaks? Is there excessive white smoke from the exhaust? If you check the engine oil, is there a creamy, tan substance mixed with it?
