Hi,
My car is showing a lot higher temperature on dashboard than real one is. Fan is working correctly, level of water is OK. I have measured the temperature by laser and it shows 95 (+-2)C on thermostat or engine block, but on the dashboard scale is almost in "red".
I have also measured the temperature in driving by the laptop, and it didn't go over 97C (going uphill)- the scale was in very high (red) position again.
The charge voltage on battery is about 14.1V
Do you have any idea what should I do?

Hello

I don’t have access to a auto manual for that type of car. However, if it is like any other, I would think it would have a temp sensor for the cooling system. I would look near the thermostat housing.

Hi there,

If you are sure that the engine temp is with in normal range, i would be changing the coolant temp sender first, as it may be sending a false reading.
