Truck starts fine one time, shut it off and attempt to start it again and the starter stays engaged?

New ignition switch, I can start my truck just fine once. I shut it off and try again and the starter stays engaged.

I have seen a weak battery cause this or a bad starter motor return spring. Let's use this guide to test the battery.
