Overheated wont start

Overheated while driving on interstate doing 75 notice engine missing, gage was reading in red. Pulled off side of interstate and notice she shut down as I was trying to come to a stop. Let her cool down tried to fire her back up no go. Just turned over like no hit. Got it home pulled no.1 plug iv'e got fire my question is there a fuel shut off reset like some fords have. All of a sudden just from overheating this happens, I am aware that 4.7 durango's have a history of overheating.I just replaced rad, ther, clutch fan water pump new hoses, could this have something to with the brain. Need help! Thanks.

Hello,

If you overheat the engine you could have low compression which means the engine will need to be replaced here is a guide to confirm the failure.
