Do my last respond and then comeback-I need to know if it has power on the small black and red wire at the starter

Its very much possible for the starter to be no good you said that when they tapped on the starter every thing went out in the dash did they hit any wires? Because that should not happen did he find the starter at the rear of engine?
Between engine and tranny almost on top of the tranny

need to use a test light and check for power at the small wire

I have a 200k Nissan Maxima. It will crank but won’t start. I’ve replaced the coil packs, spark plugs, and fuel pump. I went to Auto zone and there was a misfire in cylinder 5 which caused me to get the spark plugs and coil packs replaced. However, check engine light is still on and car still will not start. It’s only cranking. A member of my family thinks it may be the fuel line filter. What should I do?
