1998 Ford F-150 Repair Question

What can i do when my 98 4.2 Ford F-150 when i accelerate it stays at the same speed and doesnt advance I changed the coil module thinking it was that but it wasnt. If its the fuel pump what do i do and how much would it cost?

Stays the same speed doesnt advance and it shakes when i accelerate i dont know what it can be. I changed the coil module yesterday thinking that was it

Do you have a check engine light?

Check the mass airflow and throttle position sensor

No doesnt have the check engine light on

Scan anyway as not all codes will set a check light, is this a throttle cable engine or drive by wire?
