I have put a fuel pump, ICM fuel pressure regulator, a crank sensor, harmonic balancer, and coil packs. It run until warm then shuts off won't start till cool. I sprayed start fluid it runs.

Hi,

If it restarts and then stalls when using starting fluid, then it is fuel related.

Do me a favor, check the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump inline fuse. I realize the fuse has to be good for it to work at all. However, if it is loose or corroded, it could lose connection. Also, if you haven't checked the relay, check that. The Fuel Pump Relay is located in the right hand front of the engine compartment, on the relay bracket. See pic below

Here is a link that explains how to test a relay. If there is another one with the same part number, switch them. Otherwise, follow this test.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

The fuel pressure is perfect. However, if it starts with starting fluid, then it is fuel-related. If you haven't already, check the relay to make sure that isn't the problem.

If it checks good, then I need you to check for an injection pulse when the engine won't start. If the pressure is good, something is preventing the fuel from getting into the engine.

Here is a link that explains how to test an injector:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-test-a-fuel-injector

Let me know what you find. If you lost the injector pulse, it could be a bad ECM. The ECM is what signals the fuel injectors.

Please recheck for spark when it won't start so I feel confident it is fuel-related.

Let me know.

Joe
