I had a wire coming from the fan it touched some metal and shorted out the car and the engine shut off. I traced the problem back to the main fuse in the trunk where the battery is located. I replaced that replaced two more fuses and then I realized the car still wouldn't start. Four of the fuses in the box underneath the hood aren't working. A lot of the fuses in the box in the cab aren't working tested the slot where the fuse goes no power to lots of the slots power to some. Is there a relay or something I can replace or have I shorted out fusible links maybe?

Good morning,

I attached the fuse block wiring diagrams for the car. The mega fuse in the trunk controls power to the various fuse boxes.

We need to do some voltage checks to find out what has failed. It all started with the fans. We will start there when you are ready.

Do you have a voltmeter for some testing?

Working on testing it now. By the way the previous owner didn't want to change the engine coolant sensor so they converted the hydraulic fan to electric. They ran a wire from fan to fuse box the wire was exposed in middle and touched metal while the end was hooked to fuse box causing all the short circuiting and immediately blew the 175 ma fuse in rear junction box.

Okay, if you eliminate the wire, does the fuse still fail?

If you mean the fan wire yes it's unhooked. When the wire shorted. It was touching the fuse box under the hood. The motor shut off immediately. It blew the mega fuse 175 amp do the junction box in the trunk. I've replaced the mega fuse and the number four fuse in the passenger compartment junction box that controls the cluster and fuel pump relay and stuff. Finally I got everything restored and the motor cranking over but wouldn't fire. That's when I started testing all the fuses and discovered that fuses number 5 6 11 and 12 are good but not getting any power to them from the fuse box under the hood and almost all the fuses in the fuse box and the passenger compartment are getting no power but the fuse box in the trunk is fine just haven't tested any relays yet.

Okay, 5 and 6 are fed from the ECM power relay. That is why it will not start. Fuse 6 is the feed for the injectors.

The ignition switch controls power to the fuse boxes in the car. I attached a diagram of that as well. It may have failed the ignition switch.

The right front foot well fuse block is fed from the back fuse box from fuse 25. There is a 40 amp fuse that feeds the fuse block. I attached that diagram as well.
