Windshield wipers stopped working out of nowhere. I changed the fuse and the 2 relays and they're still not working. I'm lost!

Hi,

There is a chance the motor has failed or there is a wiring issue. If you look at the two pics below, they are the entire wiring schematic for the wiper system. I had to cut them in half to make them readable, but I did overlap them so you can follow from one to the next. I highlighted the motor wiring in pic 2.

What I need you to do is check for power at the motor itself. If there is power, chances are the motor is bad. If there is no power, we will need to work backwards to see where it is lost.

I realize you checked the fuses. In addition to their replacement, confirm there is power to and from them. Here is a link that explains how that is done:

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe

Thank you for your reply, Joe. My neighbor checked the power to the motor and it read 4 amps, checked my fuse box and there's power to and from them. He's 90% sure its the motor?

Hi,

If you are getting power to the motor and it has ground, it should run. I'm not sure what you mean by 4 amps. Usually, it is measured in volts.

I'm not sure if you need it, but I attached two pics below showing how to replace the motor.

I hope this helps. Let me know how things turn out or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
