So, I had my wiper motor blow up on me the other day. And I blindly diagnosed it to being the wiper linkage. Installed new ones. The problem still persists. Took apart the old motor. And the worm drive was cracked, and gear was stripped. So, I bought a reman motor from Lordco. And plugged it in to make sure it was at the "home" setting before install. And it sounded weird. I proceeded to do the installation. And after all is said and done. It's just so noisy. Wondering if I got a bad motor or what. I'll send you two vids of the sound.

Hello,

It does sound like a faulty motor. Almost like something is misaligned inside the motor and as it turns it rubs against internal components.
Try disconnecting the wiper linkage from it and just have the motor turn, see if that still makes the noise. If it does, then it is a defective motor.

Let me know of any questions.

Thank you.
