2003 Chevy Silverado windsheild wiper motor module

I have ordered a wiper module due to wipers will not turn off. My question is, is there a clip on the wiper bar that releases the wiper from the threaded shaft after the nut has been removed? I have removed the securing nut, but cannot remove the bar to get access to the wiper motor enclosure.

Remove the wiper arm mounting nut, then

while holding the wiper arm up, insert a slim tool into the hole near the hinge

and lift the wiper arm off of the mounting stud-arm attaching nut type
