My driver side window quit working all of a sudden, but passenger side still works just fine.
Can hear a noise when pushing the switch up and down, but nothing happens.

Suddenly stopping sounds like either the regulator cable or the motor itself failed. It isn't hard to get to the unit and test to see if it's the motor, regulator or even a bad switch. See the attached for the info on removing the inner door panel so you can access the regulator and its hardware. You remove the inner handle, then the switch, then the panel itself. Under it you will find a sheet that stops water from entering the car, gently peel it off and the regulator is right there. Plug the switch back in, try the window. Does the motor turn but the cable doesn't move? Replace the regulator, does the motor just click and not move? Replace the motor (or the entire regulator if it's cheaper) If the only things you hear are in the switch it could be a bad switch. Those are plug and play. Let us know what you find.
