Why does my car start, sputter and shut off?

My 92 prelude was running fine for the first two weeks I purchased it. Just
recently I started my car and it sputtered then turned off. This is a continuous
thing now Im not able to drive it. I find that when I start the car and hit the gas,
the car sputters and turns off quicker. I need help Please?
