Both turn signals stopped working after replacing one bulb

Turn signals not working or lighting up after I replaced bulb in one.

If they worked before then the bulb may be in backwards/not all the way or the wrong one. If they did not work prior have a mechanic check because it may be a hazard switch. Also, check fuses under hood and in dash.
