When the car starts it runs ragged and tries to stall

The engine runs real rough when it starts and backfires then after it starts to idle it runs good, but when you come to a stop or turn it want to surge. Someone said to disconnect the air compressor witch I did and did not make a difference. One time it backed fired going down the road at 55 mph and blew the muffler off. Any ideas?

Hello,

This sounds like a weak fuel pump. To be sure lets run down these two guides to check the pressure and get run the codes.
