When I turn on the heat the thermostat rises and the check gauges comes on. No heat comes out by my feet or to defrost. Temperature rises within seconds. The air conditioner works fine. As soon as I turn the heat off and turn down temperature sometimes to air conditioner the temperature drops back to normal and the check gauges goes off. Immediately.

Check coolant level first if low then fill it see if that takes care of it. Then check for an internal leak like a head gasket.

Always check when cool and add to fill line have your coolant system checked for a head gasket too.
