Slow Gas Needle

When I fill up the car with gas the gauge the gas gauge needle moves up too slow.

How slow is too slow? There are some cars that move the needle slowly, which really is fine because at that point you know that it has a full tank.

I had 3/4 of a tank of gas I just filled it up to one minute and forty five seconds before the needle made it all the way to the full mark.

That is nothing to worry about. I had a car once that would take ten or fifteen minutes to move that much.

The reason for that is because there is a resistance designed into the gauge so that when you turn corners, hit bumps, fill the tank, the gauge does not wave around like a flag. They changed the gauge design in 2000 so the needle moves a bit faster.
When you should worry is if you fill the tank and it does not go to the full level on the gauge. That is a sending unit failure.
