Wheel locked up

My car has been making a horrible grinding noise coming from the front driver side. I thought it was the brakes. I had someone remove the wheel and they said my pad was not totally worn down. Just a couple hours ago I left my house and the car/front driver wheel locked up as if the E-brake is on but even worse. What could the problem possibly be? Thank You for any answer or advice.

It's a little late to drive it to a shop now but you need an experienced professional to look at it, not a random friend. You're probably going to have to have it towed now as you waited too long. It could still be the brakes or possibly a wheel bearing. I'm betting it's probably the brakes.
