Put all new parts as well. My problem I just get it running and drive for about two weeks did good, now I can drive five minutes up the road and give it gas it cuts off, but then it will crank back up. I spent a great deal of money on all new parts.

Good evening,

If it starts right back up, it does not sound like fuel pressure.

It sounds like a spark issue. Have you had the ignition module tested? What about the distributor pick up which is very common?

You said you replaced that? That pick up coil is common. Please be more specific when you tell me you replaced everything.

You can just replace the distributor pick up without replacing the distributor.

Okay, I put new fuel pump, new fuel filter, cap, rotor button, ignition module, plugs wires, alternator, EMC, mufflers, fuel injectors, battery. It run great for couple weeks. Then this started I would crank and drive maybe a 1,000 feet and I would like give it a little not floored and it would stall out and I put it in neutral and crank it right back up.

Yes, I know I already bought the other stuff like the cap and button, module, so they took off the price of the distributor only $70.00.

Hey Roy, sorry to bother you. I put the distributor in I thought I said the timing I got the number one up on compression. I unplugged it EST bypass I got my rotor facing the number one and now it's like not wanting to run at all, am I doing right? Can you please explain how I need to do my timing because I can't really figure that out? Thank you so much.

Okay, you need to bring the timing mark or the piston to top dead center. You can verify this by removing the number one plug on the driver's side. Rotate the engine until you feel some pressure come out of the cylinder and then line up the mark on the crank.

Then drop the distributor in with the rotor pointing to number 1 on the cap.

With it loping, try turning the distributor and see if it smooths out.
