When replacing a water pump, is there anything else I need to replace? I am only replacing it due to noises (similar to a rusty CV ). Also, it wouldn't let me specify exact model, s10 Tahoe Blazer.

Hello,

You definitely want to replace the water pump gasket. It wouldn't hurt to inspect/replace any coolant hoses going to the water pump (if any), and the thermostat and thermostat gasket. Here are a couple of links to helpful guides for you to go through:

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Cool so just what I assumed. I have done the thermostat and gasket already, I was going to just use gasket maker to save a few.

Hello again,

Absolutely nothing wrong with that. I like to use the red hi temperature RTV, or permatex The Right Stuff, but any gasket maker should work.

Thanks again,
Alex
