Hello I am Danny.

Water pumps are made with a drain hole in the bottom. Once the pump begins to show excessive wear coolant will leak through the inner seal and begin leaking through that drain hole. It is pretty common in high-mileage vehicles. I have attached step-by-step instructions for you if you choose to do the repair yourself. Be sure that after removing the old pump that all surfaces are clean to promote a good seal for the gaskets and installation of the new pump. The long bolts are to be torqued to 22 FT LBS and the short bolts to 11 FT LBS. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have an questions!
Danny
