I have a 1997 LeSabre 3.8 L V6 with 104000 miles. I need to replace water pump and I found that one bolt cannot be removed without removing the Power steering pump pulley. Is it possible to remove the pulley from the power steering pump? Or does something else need to be done.

Thanks

Hello,

According to the instructions the power steering pulley should not have to be removed.
However, if you are not able to remove the bolt, the power steering pulley can be removed.
You will need a special pulley removal tool to get it done. These tools can be rented from your local auto parts store.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
