My car overheated and the mechanic discovers that the gasket and two piston heads are bad which I replaced.
After assembling the engine back, it tested okay with still much whitish fumes from the exhaust which the mechanic assured me will cease with time.
I just discovered that the engine does not start properly and also oil still mixes with the water.
What should I do next?

Hello,

I would take it back to the mechanic where the head gaskets were done. I would have him do a compression test. He should have to make it right. I have included a few links down below for you to go to:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/head-gasket-blown-test

These are tests you can do yourself if you are worried that the mechanic is trying to pull the wool over your eyes. I would go back to him and see if he will make it right first.

Thanks,
Alex
