On Wednesday of last week, I took my Wagon to the Volvo dealer to have a recalled fuel pump replaced. I notice a gas smell I thought was remnants from opening the back seat for the work done. On Sunday ;morning while driving to work on the freeway, I accelerate only to have my car jerk, and Power overage Stop Safely Comes on my dash. I pull over immediately and turn the car off. I take the keys out of the ignition, but everything kicks on. Interior lights, A/C, Headlights, taillights, alll of my dash warning lights, and even my radio comes back on. Could the technicians have missed something in replacing my fuel pump, or is this another problem all together.

If you still have a fuel smell then you may want to take it back to Volvo so that they can recheck the fuel pump and level sender. As for the other problem, it may or may not be related. You should bring it up when you take it back in. They should tell you if it is related or not. See if they will do a scan and see what trouble codes got posted.
