Car starts cold and dies/feels like fuel supply dies.
starts and dies 6 or 7 times then stays running.
car runs fine after it starts and stays running. When
the temperature is above 50 there is no problem.

Check the coolant temperature sensor and the idle air control valve.

I replaced the sensor before I asked for help. I've
been working on import cars for 40 years. This problem
is not your basic problem. The car was bought in
warm spring time. As soon as the cold hit they had the problem. I'm leaning to the fuel computor which
could be out of a v70 1998. The books say the
computor for this car only goes to 97. The
number on the computor is 0-261-203-077.
