Car cutting off while driving

I have a 1993 volvo 850 with about 90,000 miles when I don't drive it for two days the battery dies even though I have a new battery, when I jump it, it starts right away. But sometimes I guess if it is not warmed up enough it just cuts off while I am driving, this is dangerous and when I took it to the mechanic he could not find the short, I can't afford another car so I need to fix it. What do you think this could be, also the mechanic checked the alternator and the starter and said that they were all fine. Thanks very much for any help!

This could be several thing and each will have to be checked. Do you have any error codes or your check engine light on? This would narrow the problem. Would check the fuel pump is work and the you do not have a bad fuel pump relay. The relay is label I believe 305 under your fuse box.
The next thing to check is your Throttle position Sensor wire if is bad replace it. The final thing may be the most difficult to check with out an error code and that is you ERG. All these parts work indepentally and together.
