1976 VW Bus Gas Tank

My husband and I received a 1976 VW Bus as a wedding gift 2 1/2 years ago. The bus has a huge amount of senimental value to my husband and he has worked on fixing it since then. He has run into a problem with the gas tank and needs to replace it. However, in all of our searches we have been unable to find a gas tank for a 76 Bus. Any info at all pointing us in the right direction would be a huge help. It's the only thing on his Christmas list this year. He would be thrilled! Thank you!

Check the bus depot, the parts bin, on line vw air cooled vendors or your local recycling facility
(junk/wrecking yard).
